This cartoon depicts a very tall and slender Abraham Lincoln bent over grasping the hands of an African American slave. The print is titled across the top of the composition, "Love Me Little, Love Me Long." Lincoln's text in the cartoon reads, "My little man, you're free. I've long sought this hour." The African American man's text is slightly illegible, but may read, "You's werry long, dat so massa Lincum and de people want yer longer yet." The print is signed in pencil along the lower right edge "Charles B. Hall." Part of The Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection, courtesy of the Indiana State Museum
