Description

This is a set of three identical reprints of a political cartoon by Bill Mauldin published in the Chicago Sun Times on November 23, 1963, the day following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The original cartoon was completed in charcoal. It depicts President Abraham Lincoln seated in the Lincoln Memorial with his elbows resting on his knees and his head buried in his hands. The authors printed signature and the date are in the lower right corner of the image. The three prints are stored together and labeled with the ID number differentiated by "a", "b", and "c."
