Description
Black and white print depicts Abraham Lincoln's funeral in the East Room of the White House on April 19, 1865. His casket is displayed on a catafalque in the center of a room; it is covered by a black canopy. A huge crowd is gathered around the catafalque: a preacher stands closest to the casket and raises his hands in prayer; Lincoln's widow and two sons are depicted on the right side of the image.
