This postcard is a photograph of the Abraham Lincoln family home in Springfield, Illinois, draped in mourning after his death on April 15, 1865. A large crowd of people gathered to be in the photograph. The caption printed along the lower edge of the image reads "The Home of Lincoln Draped for His Funeral, May 4, 1865."
