Election ticket, 2 7/8 x 7 1/2 inches. Presidential election ticket listing candidates Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Johnson, Republican presidential electors, a congressional candidate, and a district candidate. Printed in red and blue; illustrated with an image of a flying American flag with a Liberty Cap on the top of the pole and a ribbon reading "Our Whole Country." Handwritten in ink at top: 1864, and at bottom: My vote / Gibbs. Text reads: "National Union Nominations For President, Abraham Lincoln of Illinois. For Vice-President, Andrew Johnson, of Tennessee. For Electors: Samuel Brannan Of San Francisco J.G. McCallum Of El Dorado W.W. Crane Of Alameda Charles C. Maclay Of Santa Clara Warner Oliver Of Siskiyou For Congress, Second District, William Higby Of Calaveras For Supervisor, 3d District, O.H. Burnham. Additional subscription of One Hundred Thousand Dollars to the Capital Stock of the Placerville and Sacramento Valley Railroad Company--Yes!"
