Description

This was a badge for a press messenger at the 1960 Republican National Convention. An orange silk ribbon features a gold pin at the top and a dangling medal at the end. The pin depicts a spread-winged eagle with a shield behind which is a banner with the words "100 Years of Progress" in raised letters. A rectangular bar reads, "Press Messenger." The medal is rectangular and features a right profile of President Abraham Lincoln with olive branches on either side. Raised letters read, "Republican National Convention/1960/Chicago."
