Description

Chromolithograph depicts the Battle of Antietam. In the middleground, Union generals are on higher ground in front of two American flags watching soldiers marching into battle. A fallen cannon and injured or dead soldiers are on the ground in the foreground. The Union generals depicted are identified in the margin just below the image. They are Generals Van Veck, McClellan, Marcy, Barry, and Walse. The title is printed in the bottom margin. A gold-colored retangular border surrounds the image.
