This color postcard features the scene of the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln at Ford's Theatre in Washington, D. C., on the night of April 14, 1865, as depicted in the National Historical Wax Museum. John Wilkes Booth is shown standing in the president's box behind President Lincoln with a pistol pointed at his head. The postcard reverse is divided. Narrative text is printed on the left side.
