    Abraham Lincoln and image-making in America achieved popularity together as printmakers churned out both pro- and anti-Lincoln graphics. Images depicted him as a candidate, commander-in-chief, emancipator, guardian of the Union, suppressor of civil liberties, and ultimately, national martyr - accurately reflecting public attitudes toward him and his reputation.

    While the Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection can be viewed online at any time, the Indiana State Museum in Indianapolis, Indiana, continually displays a select number of objects from the Lincoln Collection in the museum’s core gallery, “The Hoosier Way.”
