Description

This bronze-painted plaster bust features the head and shoulders of Abraham Lincoln draped in cloth. He is clean-shaven and directly facing the viewer. The bust sits on top of a two tiered round pedestal. In the back, the bust stops just below the shoulder blades. On the back of the pedestal it shifts into a vertical column. On the column is engraved, "Lincoln from life by L.W. Volk." For more information on the sculptural studies of Lincoln by Leonard W. Volk see "Lincoln Lore" issues 241, 1047, and 1421-1425.
