Description

This watercolor on heavy textured paper was painted by President Abraham Lincoln's great-granddaughter Mary Lincoln Beckwith, also known as Peggy Beckwith. It features a body of water on which several sailing vessels can be seen. The largest vessel appears to be a cargo ship with two sailboats nearby. In the foreground is a small fishing boat on which two men can be seen. In the background are several sailboats of various sizes.
