Description
This etching features a portrait of President Abraham Lincoln in profile, facing the viewer's left. The etching is printed on cream paper. His face is highly detailed with fine strokes and cross-hatching; his shoulder and chest are rendered with less detail. He has a beard and a dark shadow around his eye. Lincoln is wearing a black coat, bow tie, and a white collared shirt. A facsimile Lincoln signature is in the lower margin just below the left corner of the image. The publisher's information is centered in the lower margin just below the image. The artist's handwritten signature is in the lower margin just below the right corner of the image.
