Description

This is a colored lithograph that depicts Robert E. Lee, Jefferson Davis, and Stonewall Jackson vacating the premises in Richmond, Virginia, at the end of the Civil War as African Americans and whites look on. Jefferson Davis is shown carrying several boxes each labeled with the name of a Confederate state. A container labeled as the C.S.A. Treasury is also ready to be moved.
