Description

This pen and ink drawing depicts the water-powered mill in Kentucky frequented by Thomas Lincoln, accompanied by his young son Abraham, and is one of several illustrations done by C. M. Biggers for the book "The Lincoln Album : Life of the Preserver of the Union, the Liberator of a People, and the First American" published in 1907 by Hawkins Publishing Company, St. Louis, Missouri. A small picket fence is visible to the left of the building. The artist's initials appear in the lower left corner of the print.
