Description

This pen and ink wash drawing done from life in 1860 features the head and shoulders of Abraham Lincoln. He is depicted beardless, middle aged and wearing a black coat and bow tie. The portrait was done during the year in which Lincoln was first nominated as the Republican Party's presidential candidate.
