This pen and ink illustration, done from a photograph of President Abraham Lincoln taken on February 9, 1864, in Washington, D. C., is one of several illustrations done by C. M. Biggers for the book "The Lincoln Album : Life of the Preserver of the Union, the Liberator of a People, and the First American" published in 1907 by Hawkins Publishing Company, St. Louis, Missouri. President Abraham Lincoln is shown seated with his body turned slightly to the viewer's left and his head turned toward the viewer's right.
