Description
This unusual calendar is made of tin with a special holder in which the calendar pages were to be placed. A head and shoulders portrait of President Abraham Lincoln is featured at the top of the brown calendar backboard. Just below Lincoln's right shoulder the logo of The Lincoln National Life Insurance Company appears. Below the portrait in large cream colored lettering is the name and location of the company. Below the company name are three pieces of metal bent so that the 4-3/4 inch by 6-11/16 inch calendar pages on heavy stock can be slipped in for display. Four calendar pages printed on front and back each with the day number 1 on a different day of the week. Also included are month pages on the same heavy stock with two months on each side printed on opposite edges and upside from each other. These month pages are enough larger than the calendar pages so the name of the month appears above the calendar days when placed in the holder. Most of the month pages have been torn along the edges so that the names of May, August, September, and December are missing. At the bottom of the calendar backboard is a window in which to place the various insurance company agents' names and locations.
