Description

Pin features black print on a yellow ground. In the center, print reads "SPRINGFIELD" and extends the entire width of the pin. Above and below, black print is enclosed in black arching frames. Above, print reads "The Home of" and below, print reads "Abraham Lincoln". The back features a metal needle used for pinning. Inserted paper illustrates an insignia or emblem in the shape of a shield in black. The interior print reads "Manufactured by St. Louis Button Co. St. Louis, MO. Pat. Aug. 8,'99". In the bottom tip of the shield, another emblem is present. The ovular emblem is dissected by enclosed print that reads "Trades Council". Between these two words, "Union Label" appears in an enclosed circle with straight sides. The ovular emblem has a double frame with print in its interior that reads "Allied Printing" above and "St. Louis, MO." below. Beneath this emblem, "10" is printed.
