Description

This oval bronze plaque featuring a bas relief of President Abraham Lincoln's right profile was done by a sculptor for whom only the name "Pickett" was known from the engraving on the plaque seen to the left of the back of Lincoln's neck. The first name and middle initial were finally found in an 1873 auction catalog in the collection of the New York Public Library. "Copyrighted L. G. Muller, 1908" is inscribed on the reverse.
