Description

Bronze Civil War Campaign Service Medal features a three-quarter profile bust of President Abraham Lincoln in relief. "With Malice Toward None, With Charity For All" is embossed around the bust. The reverse features "The Civil War, 1861-1865" embossed inside a wreath made up of an oakleaf branch on the left and a laurel branch on the right joined together with a bow at the bottom. A small ring is attached to the top where the medal is attached to a blue and grey ribbon. This medal when first issued by the United States Department of War in 1905 to the officers and soldiers who served during that war.
