Description
a) Military jacket comprised of navy blue wool with decorative elements of red braided trim and brass buttons. Jacket features a standing collar with a notched front. The collar is trimmed in red braid and has double red braid strips with two brass buttons embossed with eagles and shields on each side. The center placket is trimmed in red braid and secured with twelve buttons also embossed with the same design.The waist line is also trimmed with red braid.The long sleeves are secured with two embossed buttons. Above the cuffs on both sleeves, red braided chevrons are present. The artillery jacket features brass fittings at the shoulders to secure epaulets b and c. Back features two bolsters attached at center back waist to support the waist belt. The jacket is lined in tan tweed. An anchor stamp is present inside both sleeves at the armscye. Other stamped impressions are also present inside the proper right sleeve at the armscye. b-c) Epaulets feature rounded ends and scalloped tab ends with a notch to secure at shoulder fittings.
