Description

Placard features four buttons of Abraham Lincoln, Mary Todd Lincoln, Abraham Lincoln and his son, Tad, and the Lincoln Memorial. All the images appear to be photographs. The first button depicts Abraham Lincoln in three quarter view. Mary Todd Lincoln appears on the second button in three quarter view as well. The third button features Lincoln and his son, Tad, reading a book together. Lastly, the fourth button depicts the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. Below the four buttons, there is print enclosed in a stamped royal blue double frame. The print reads "National Button Society Meeting and Show October 1956 Hamilton Hotel, Chicago". The back appears to be an envelope. The buttons appear to each have a small metal ring or hook and white pipe cleaners are twisted to ensure their attachment to the placard.
