Description
This tinted postcard features the Soldiers Monument in the National Cemetery at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Standing sixty-feet high, the colossal marble statue at the top represents the Genius of Victory. The four allegorical figures at the four corners of the base represent War, History, Peace, and Plenty. The caption is printed along the top edge of the image. The postcard reverse is divded. Narrative text is printed on the left side. The number R-37847 is printed along the lower edge near the middle.
