Authorizes J.G.W. Cornell of Lansingburgh, New York, to cast a vote for John Hackett in the General Election while Hackett is stationed in Virginia with Company 28, 2d Battery, VRC, New York State Volunteers. Signed by John Hackett, witnessed by Reinhold Peixoto, and endorsed by B.B. Keeler, Capt. 142nd NY Vols. Yellow envelope is printed with an affidavit signed by Hackett and Keeler.
