Red, white, and blue striped grosgrain ribbon features a metal pin at the top with a dangling medallion. The pin is embossed with the dome of the Capitol Building in Washington, D. C., and features two painted and crossed red, white, and blue American flags and the word "Alternate" printed on a red bar. The medallion is linked to the pin and is rounded with an eagle perched on top. The profile of Abraham Lincoln is pictured in low relief on the medallion. "Republican National Convention, Chicago, 1912" is printed around the edge of the medallion. Part of the Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection, courtesy of the Indiana State Museum
