Description

This badge features at the top an attached rectangular bronze bar with raised print that reads "Illinois." The ribbon features red, white, and blue vertical stripes with gold print that reads "12th Annual Convention at Boston Oct. 6-7-(illegible)-9 1930." A shield-shaped medallion is attached to the end of the ribbon and is decorated in relief. There is a two-story building with raised print above and below that reads "Home of Lincoln" above and "1930" below. On the lower half of the medallion, there are two small circular medallions. The proper left medallion features a five-point star in its center. The star is topped by a circle with enclosed print that reads "US". The star is surrounded by a double circle frame with raised print in its interior that reads "American Legion". The proper right medallion features a relief portrait of Abraham Lincoln in profile. The back of the rectangular pin features a safety pin mechanism for pinning. There is also raised print that reads "Greenduck Co". "Greenduck Co." is also repeated in relief print on the back of the medallion. Below this print, there is an emblem.
