Description

Ribbon features an attached bronze bar at the top with a hanging medallion. The yellow ribbon is stamped in gold ink with text reads "42nd National Convention Daughters of Union Veterans." Raised print on the bar reads "Springfield, ILL. 1932". Beneath this print the right profile of President Abraham Lincoln appears in circular frame. The ground is smooth and Lincoln is executed in relief form. The hanging medallion has a laurel-leaf border with the letters D,U, and V in an overlapping relief design. The back of the attached pin features a safety pin mechanism used for pinning. There is also relief print that reads "The Whitehead & Hoag Co. Newark, N.J."
