Description
Hand puppet is made from a white cotton glove with a navy-blue ribbed wrist; a small figure's head is shaped from paper mache or clay, painted with facial features, and attached to the tip of each finger. The body of the figure is painted below on the finger of the glove. The figures represent the Lincoln family during their years in Springfield. The man in the black coat on the index finger represents Abraham Lincoln with a long face and no beard. The middle finger represents Robert Lincoln with a large round head, dark-brown hair, and a blue coat. The next figure on the ring finger represents Mrs. Lincoln with black hair and a red dress. The figures in blue coats on the thumb and little finger of the glove represent the younger two sons, Willie and Tad Lincoln.
