Description

This is a commemorative ribbon made out of white silk. A thick black mourning border runs around the edge of the ribbon. A three-quarter profile of Abraham Lincoln is printed inside the border in black. Above the picture the words "Whatever shall appear to be God's will, I will do," are printed in black lettering. Below the profile the words "U.L. Albany Council No. 1. Let us resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain" are also printed in black lettering. The ribbon is adhered to a piece of newspaper, and the words "April year 1865" are handwritten in pencil at the top.
