Description

This is a commemorative ribbon made out of white silk. A thick black border runs around the inside edge. A portrait of Abraham Lincoln is printed above the center of the ribbon. A green leaf surrounds the portrait. The words "Night Inspector U. S. Revenue, Port of New York" are written above the picture of Lincoln in black lettering. Below the picture are the words, "Abraham Lincoln Born, Feb. 12th, 1809. Died, April 15th, 1865. He still Lives in the Hearts of the People," also written in black lettering. An illustration of a woman mourning at a gravestone surrounded by trees and shrubbery is printed at the bottom. On the gravestone are the words "April 15, 1865."
