Description

Off white silk ribbon with center image of Lincoln. Central oval portrait of Lincoln is in black and white thread. An eagle is perched on a flowing ribbon that reads "With Charity to all, with malice for none" at the top of the portrait oval. Lincoln is shown from mid chest up in a classic pose in a suit and tie with a full beard. At the bottom of the portrait oval is a classic figure in a mourning pose in front of two US flags. This figure is seated on top of a shield that is decorated with US stars and stripes. A flowing ribbon that reads "Union Forever 1776-1865" is draped over the shield. The shield is done in red, white and blue thread. Two branches in green thread extend from the shield to frame the mourning classical figure. Directly below the shield, "A.Lincoln" is done in black and gray thread. The top and bottom edge of the silk ribbon are roughly cut.
