Description

This hand-colored lithograph depicts the final moments of Abraham Lincoln as he lays on his death bed in the Petersen House. A divine George Washington observes from the Heavens as three angels break through the ceiling and beckon to Lincoln. Twelve men surround the bed, their heads bowed.
