Nancy Hanks Lincoln, no date

Thomas Lincoln married Nancy Hanks Lincoln in a log cabin belonging to Richard Berry in Springfield, Kentucky, in the summer of 1806. She died when Abraham was nine years old. Lincoln’s law partner later claimed Lincoln told him Nancy was the illegitimate daughter of a wealthy Virginia planter.
