Mamie Lincoln Isham, 1891

Mamie Lincoln, christened Mary after her mother and (possibly) her grandmother, was the oldest child of Robert Todd and Mary Harlan Lincoln. As is often true with first children, there are more photographs among the family’s photo collection of Mamie growing up than there are of her younger siblings. On September 2, 1891, Mamie married Charles Bradford Isham. Mamie’s formal wedding portrait shows her in her gown of “white satin with a long train trimmed with orange blossoms and lace veil.”
