Jessie Lincoln Beckwith, no date

Jessie Lincoln married Warren Wallace Beckwith in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in November 1897, much to her father’s dismay. Robert bitterly opposed the wedding because Beckwith was just a college football and minor league baseball player. Jessie and Warren had two children: Mary “Peggy” and Robert Todd Lincoln (after her father). The family moved back out to Iowa, where her mother was from and Jessie remained there. In 1907, Jessie divorced Warren and married Frank Edward Johnson in 1915. She then divorced Frank in 1926 and married Robert John Randolph, an electrical engineer from Virginia. She did not have any further children. From 1946 until her death in 1948, Jessie lived at their summer estate, Hildene, in Manchester, Vermont.
