Sara Jane Lippincott
Sara Jane Lippincott (1823–1904) was a poet, author, and newspaper correspondent. She was a correspondent for the Saturday Evening Post, the New York Times, and other news- papers; a successful author; and one of the first women to be granted access to the Congressional press galleries. During the Civil War, she raised funds for the war effort and lectured at sanitary fairs.
