Telegram to Edward Isham

Mary revealed her extreme anxiety and instability during a stay in Florida in March of 1875. She sent this telegram from Jacksonville with urgent instructions to reach Robert, as she feared her son was sick and dying. Robert sent men to Florida to locate her, but Mary had already rushed back to Chicago, where she was surprised to find Robert in perfect health.
