Address of Abraham Lincoln at the Dedication of Gettysburg Cemetery, the 19th of November, 1863
The Gettysburg Address printed as an American flag on a large postcard. The message side of the card, “An American Language Post Card,” urges citizens to “call our language American because the name ‘English’ renders it unsuitable as a vehicle for expressing the American idea that ‘All Men are Created Equal.’” This card was presented as a souvenir at the 1913 annual dinner of the Lincoln Society of Peekskill, New York.
