Description
This poster features the Abraham Lincoln Tomb in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield, Illinois. Designed by sculptor Larkin G. Mead, the tomb exterior includes a bronze statue of Lincoln and four bronze groups of soldiers symbolizing those in military action during the Civil War. The entrance to the tomb is through a door located beneath the bronze Lincoln statue. A flight of steps on each side leads from ground level to the entrance level. Numerous trees are behind the monument. Several bushes are between the two sets of stairs in front. Text in the lower margin reads "Abraham Lincoln, 1809-1865."
