This photogravure features a standing portrait of President Abraham Lincoln. He is depicted in an office setting standing in front of a chair with his left hand resting on a book on the table at his left. A partially rolled document next to the book is titled "Constitutional Amendment Abolishing Slavery Throughout the Nation." A framed portrait and a bust, both of George Washington, are behind and to the left of Lincoln. He is shown wearing a black morning coat, waistcoat, and black bow tie. The facsimile signature "A. Lincoln" is printed in the margin below the image. The publisher's information is printed just below the bottom edge of the image.
