Description

This unusual print features the text of President Abraham Lincoln's well-known Gettysburg Address in a very unusual format. A note from the artist under the title briefly describes his work: "Executed upside down and backward in less than three hours by A. L. Paulsen, "Wizard Penman," Richmond, Cal. using variations of the figure "two" only." The title and text are printed in blue ink. Above the title is a portrait of President Lincoln printed in blue ink with a caption, The Great Emancipator, a facsimile signature, and his birth and death years printed in black ink.
