Description
This postcard is a photograph of the replica log cabins of President Abraham Lincoln's birthplace and his southern Indiana home which were part of the Lincoln Group exhibit at the Chicago World's Fair in 1933. The birthplace cabin, seen to the viewer's right, was originally located near Hodgenville, Kentucky. The southern Indiana home, seen to the viewer's left, was located near Pigeon Creek which was where Lincoln lived with his family from the age of seven years until he turned twenty-one. Two piles of logs are in front of the cabins. A young boy is posed seated on one of them. The caption is printed along the top edge of the image. The postcard reverse is divided.
