This tinted postcard features a view of Harper's Ferry, West Virginia, from the John Brown Monument and the five tablets commemorating the Civil War Battle of Harper's Ferry looking toward St. Peter's Church in the background. The stone obelisk marks the original location of the armory's engine house where John Brown made his last stand during his historic raid in 1859. The postcard caption and the number 9229 are printed along the top edge of the image. The postcard reverse is divided.
