Description

This black and white photograph features the head and shoulders portion of the clay model for the heroic-sized, full-length bronze statue of Abraham Lincoln by sculptor Avard Fairbanks which is located at the Ewa Plantation School near Honolulu, Hawaii. Fairbanks titled his statue "Lincoln, the Frontierman." This photograph shows the detail of the sculpture in the beardless face, the neck, and the open collared shirt.
