Description

This print is the official proclamation by the governor of Massachusetts setting aside February 12, 1927, to be observed as Lincoln Day "and earnestly request that day be observed in the home and the schools and the churches as well as in other organizations so that love of country and appreciation of the contribution which Abraham Lincoln made to his country's greatness may become more pronounced with the passting of years." The signatures of the Governor and the Secretary of the Commonwealth at the end of this document are handwritten in black ink.
