Description

This etching ridicules Abraham Lincoln, depicting him as the delusional Don Quixote on horseback. Lincoln carries a pike instead of a lance. Sancho Panza is represented by the much-despised Union general Benjamin Butler, known in the South as, "the Beast of New Orleans." Butler rides an old donkey.
