Judge Silas Woodson of St. Joseph Mo, an applicant for the position of Chief Justice of the proposed Territory of Montana, is originally from Kentucky, and known to us to possess in an eminent degree, all the qualifications necessary to a proper and satisfactory discharge of the duties of the office. We therefore very Respectfully and earnestly ask that he may receive the appointment.
