This print is the official proclamation by the governor of Massachusetts setting aside February 12, 1917, to be observed as Lincoln Day "and I recommend that that day be observed by the people with exercises appropriate to the birthday of Abraham Lincoln...I recommend that the scholars in our schools and our people in every walk of life devote the coming birthday of Lincoln to the study of what he said and what he did."
