Description

This postcard features an illustration by artist Lloyd Ostendorf of Abraham Lincoln returning home from the market with his two younger boys, Willie, and Tad. Their dog, Fido, greets them as Mrs. Lincoln waits in the doorway of their home. The reverse is divided in half vertically with descriptive text on the left half as well as a note reading "1st day of issue, Aug. 3, 1978, at Long Nine Museum Post Office, Athens, Illinois."
