Description

This print is a copy of a commemorative poster celebrating the one hundredth anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth. This print features one hundred photographs of Abraham Lincoln from the collection of Lincoln collector Oldroyd H. Osborn of Washington, D. C. The border on the left side of the photographs consists of illustrations of Lincoln's various homes from the birthplace cabin to the White House. Between the illustrations are quotations from various well-known Lincoln speeches. The border on the right side of the photographs consists of illustrations of important buildings in Lincoln's life from the Capitol Building in Washington, D. C. to the Lincoln Monument in Springfield, Illinois. Again, between illustrations are more quotations from Lincoln speeches. In the margin below the photographs is the information about the photograph collection and the publisher. "100 photographs from the collection of Osborn H. Oldroyd, Washington, D.C." is printed at the bottom of the image, with "Copyright 1908, by O.H. Oldroyd." and "Photo by I.D. Boyce." at the right. "Printed from a copper half-tone plate in the collection of The Lincoln Museum, Fort Wayne, Indiana" is printed below the main image. "1/25" is below the image at the left.
